Personal Work
While Vietnam is widely known for phở and bánh mì, its traditional clothing is equally vibrant and deeply rooted in cultural heritage. As a nation of 54 ethnic groups, each community preserves its own distinct traditions, values, languages, and cultural practices. To honor this richness, the artist developed an original 32-page illustrated book titled Thổ Cẩm: Textile Identities as the first part of a larger project, intending to highlight the attire of all 54 ethnic groups and share the beauty of Vietnam’s cultural heritage with a global audience. The project primarily uses watercolor and gouache, with digital tools used to develop textile patterns.
